CCD and Gatwick Airport worked together to produce the world's first remote cabin baggage screening facility that not only considers the user environment within the room but also provided measurable benefits in passenger throughput in the Central Search Area.
The project demonstrated how focus on human factors, brought by CCD, can deliver successful change projects. These projects support operational improvement at the airport and, ultimately, help to deliver a better airport experience for passengers. Gatwick's willingness to adopt this approach shows how they value their staff and their passengers and understand how their involvement in projects can make tangible improvements.
