Welcome to the latest edition of Arup’s aviation news!

In this first issue of the year, I would like to thank all our clients and collaborators for your continued interest, support and partnership.  We very much look forward to continuing to work with you this year in a lot of exciting new developments.

In this edition, I am pleased to share our latest research into the future of aviation, with the findings from our Future Ready Airport workshop in Bangalore and how we can deliver similar innovate sessions to address your future issues.

We also have our latest thinking on the future of airport investments and business advisory, guidance on aviation security in airport design, and the direction of autonomous vehicles.  We highlight some of our latest news and global project developments, including pieces from DublinTaipeiSingaporeDubaiKuwait and Beijing.  And I am proud that the firm has been awarded for our advisory in infrastructure investment.

Finally, our global Aviation leadership team will again be heading to the Passenger Terminal Expo, 20-22 March, in Stockholm.  We have a stand in the exhibition hall (120) where we will be showcasing our latest initiatives and we will be speaking at the conference on: the Future Ready Airport; one ID (biometrically enabled, cross-border trusted transfers); mitigating security risks; and aviation capital cost managment.  I hope to see many of you there.

With warm regards,

Ian Taylor
