The third Belt and Road Summit, jointly organised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSARG) and the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council (HKTDC), will be in held in Hong Kong on 28 June 2018.

 

Last year, the second Belt and Road Summit attracted almost 40 prominent speakers and over 3000 high-level business leaders and government officials from over 50 countries and regions. Under the theme “Collaborate for Success”, this year’s Summit promotes the importance of wider, deeper and closer collaboration among government and businesses to secure mutual benefit for all participants in the Belt and Road Initiative. Overall ‘Sustainable Infrastructure’ and ‘Green Finance’ will be key themes.

 

The Department for International Trade will be working with HKTDC to ensure attending UK businesses will enjoy a successful summit. HKTDC will organise business matching sessions at the Summit, with three sessions apiece on transport and logistics, public utilities and energy, and urban development.
