SUMMARY:DIT Webinar: An Introduction to the Asian Development Bank
DESCRIPTION:DIT Webinar: An Introduction to the Asian Development Bank\n
Booked by - Hannah Sallabanks\n
Info - Aid-funded business are commercial opportunities borne out of assistance programmes by multilateral development banks and organisations. Institutions like the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have a wide development portfolio across Asia-Pacific, generating business opportunities in key sectors and themes.
UK and the ADB
The UK has a strong record of winning business with the ADB. The UK is among those top-ranked globally in securing ADB consultancy contracts, with known strengths in the Bank's priority sectors (transport, water and environment, education and skills). In 2018, UK firms have secured a total of £124 million in ADB procurement across said sectors.
Introduction to the ADB
The UK Department for International Trade, in partnership with the ADB, British Expertise International, and the UK-ASEAN Business Council, is organising an introductory webinar on the ADB. We will present an overview of the Bank, its operational priorities (Strategy 2030), and general procurement guidelines and reforms. This webinar will provide useful working knowledge of the Bank, in preparation for the ADB Business Opportunities Seminars in November.
All firms interested in exporting their goods and/or services to the ADB should join the webinar. Companies can send any number of representatives to join.
Participation is free of charge. Log-in details will be shared closer to the date. Please see the full programme and how to attend in the offical invite.  INVITE ADB UK Introductory Webinar 2019.pdf (244 KB)\n
